accompaniment for scales
Hi, in my lessons (clarinet & sax) I always accompany my students on the piano when playing scales. They are used to it in the lesson but it would be great if they could use my accompaniment at home. I've made something in musescore (and added 2 voices). See attachment. So I would like to make a patch that enables students to 1) transpose the accompaniment and 2) change the tempo. This patch should be turned into a stand alone app that I can put on my website. I don't know were to begin.. would somebody care to help me with this?
Why can't the students just use musescore for playback at home?
It's free and supports transposition and tempo changes.
[OT; just had a look at musescore - this stuff is FREE?]
absolutely, Brendan.
Hi Broc,
good point, but many of my students are quite young (6-7 yrs old). It would be great to have an application with simple interface that allows the possibilities I mentioned. Then studnets (or their parents) don't need to get know musescore.

So I would make a patch using [detonate] and import the midi file from musescore. You can basically copy the playback example from the detonate reference page. Just insert a delay and duration factor (tempo control), and addition of pitch (transposition).
@lucnijs
well then, I think I just foun' me a new notation program.
Thanks
Hey Broc,
just arrived home from teaching.
I'll have a look at it tomorrow...
Thanks!
