ad_rewire problems with standalone application

Hello again guys!

Since all of you really helped me out with my last problem, perhaps you could give me some advice with an rewire issue I'm having?

I'm building a standalone application and I'm trying to make it so that it's rewire-compatible. I launched the app and chose "ad_rewire" in DSP status. However, when I open Pro Tools or Ableton and look for my application I can't seem to find it. Is there a way to make programs recognize my application as a rewire device?

Thanks again for all of your help. I will post this application when it is finally finished :D

You need to get your system to register your standalone as a Rewire device. If you're on a mac, you can try the following:
1.    Control-click on the standalone, and select ‘show package contents’.
2.    Select Contents/support/ad/MSPReWireDevice.bundle, and make an alias.
3.    Drop the alias into the ~/Library/ApplicationSupport/Propellerhead Software/ReWire folder.

When you first run your standalone and select the ad_rewire driver, it is supposed to place it’s own alias to the package’s Rewire bundle, renamed “your_app Rewire device” (where ‘your_app’ is the name of your standalone), but Rewire can be a bit flakey about this.

ok, i cannot get this to work. these are the messeges i am getting

ad_rewire: unable to register rewire device hostcontrol.6.test, error 666
ad_rewire: please check ReWire installation and restart Max/MSP.

where hostcontrol.6.test is the name of my standalone.

i checked in the folder and the msprewire bundle is there?
