I've made a drum trigger in max which works a treat, but need to add a click track to it. At the moment I've got the tempo object generating 100bpm into a button so I've a visual metronome but I really need to be able to hear it. Any thoughts would be most appreciated!

Yeah, click~ and reson~ work well for this.

Hmmm, am getting a nice click with that, but I'm now noticing that the beat isn't actually even (wasn't so obvious from just looking at the button). I'm using a brand new macbook pro so don't think it's the computer struggling. Any ideas?

The uneven timing is not because of the Mac, but of OS X and its multitasking feature...

Try to turn on "Scheduler in audio interrupt" in the DSP settings.
