[ANN] win versions of vb-objects
hi,
thanks to micha thies and f.e, for a number of my objects, windows
versions are available now.
for anyone interested, this is the direct link:
http://www.esbasel.ch/Downloads/MaxMSP-Objects.htm
updates:
[vb.fbosc~]:
- coefficient calculation of the internal lowpass filter has been
changed.
it's now more accurate.
- a lowcut has been added to mostly avoid annoying DC build up.
[vb.fftbuf]:
- fixed some small bugs.
- now has a 'normalize' message.
i hope i haven't 'verschlimmbessert' anything...
new objects:
vb.biquad
vb.fourpole~
have fun,
volker.
Hello Volker, do the updates, respectively the lowcut, apply to the mac versions, too?

the changes apply to both versions.

Volker,
I can't get these to run under XP on Max 4.6 or Max 5 - I receive a message 'error 14001 loading external'. All my other externals are working so it doesn't appear to be a search path issue and I have no other files with similar names. Only vb.phasor0 works...anyone else having problems?
Thanks,
Don
hi dondelion,
this is due to some missing .dlls - it should work if you install the dot net runtime enviroment from microsoft. i think the recent version should work, let me know if it does not...
all the best,
micha
micha,
i've downloaded and installed microsoft .net framework v2 and i still receive the same error...
thanks,
don
thank you for the continued development on these externals, volker.

you are welcome.
concerning the windows problems, i can't help, sorry.
but i think micha is looking into it.
volker.
hi don,
sorry that this did not help. hm, i just got that error message on one computer is was testing the build on, and there the installation of a specific .net version (maybemaybe it was v1.1) worked.
at the moment i cannot find the thread i got the hint from, but in the meantime could you tell me if the msvcr80.dll library can be found on your computer?
if not, then the problem is solved.
all the best
micha
I think the problem may be that you need the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 or 2008 Redistributable Package not the .Net framework.

2008:

micha,
no trace of msvcr80.dll but i installed the c++ package and all the externals now work fine...
thanks,
don
at a quick glance, vb and vb.net are completely unrelated.
