Anyone here doing Kinect + creating music using your body?
I am thinking about it for my project. I guess its well explored already? Does a thesis project have to be totally unique?
Yeah I know the last question doesnt fit this forum but what the hell.

wouldn't be much help to anyone at this stage. i might consider cleaning things up and sharing at some point.

I got a Kinect today. Installed Kinect drivers, openni, osceleton, max msp. Are there any max patches that i would need to start binding for example left arm to a synth? How does it work?

I am really confused. Can you explain this to me. My project is to do a fully functional body interactive gesture recognition instrument that triggers music and sounds. All I know is that there are different techniques to connect this.
One is libfreenect, and another is OpenNI? Whats the difference? And Synapse? And there are some more I guess?
Before I start with my project I need to know all ways of doing all this so I can evaluate the most optimal way for me before I start writing stuff in max msp/c++/java/whatever.
Thanks and sorry for all newbie questions.
