Any MAX PATCH for WRITING Sheet music?
Hello everybody,
Have you ever seen Finale Software or Garage band with midi instruments?
I would like to know if there is a way to realize it on Max.
I'm working on a project by using importing JAVA (MXJ) classes on Max for chord, patterns and scales recognizers.
I'm using the principle behind Markov Variable Lenght Algorythm.
What i miss is a good rythm rules recognition.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

hi,
you might want to take a look at this.
Under the Max/MSP tab, it has example for what i think you might want...
I may be off..

Thank you so much guys! :)
I have hundreds of suggestions now, great!!
I'll have a look and I'm sure i can find what i need.
THANK YOU!!!
I highly recommend note~

@ fustav: You have to download and install 2 additional fonts required by note~ (see installation notes).
Thank you, I've added the fonts and now it works properly :)
There's also Bach

I'm looking at a few of these options now too. All of these seem super robust and heavily lifting.
I think I'm learning towards Bach at the moment, but haven't installed or messed with any of them yet. For my purposes all I really need is the ability to show a bit of notation on screen (that can change dynamically).
Nice!
And guys...any new option that allow to represent also guitar TABS among with music notation?
Yes, MaxScore now also supports guitar tablature: http://www.computermusicnotation.com/?page_id=1268
@yaniki, sorry I can't find the installation notes that specificy which fonts need to be installed for note~, can you tell me where that is, or what the fonts are?
Thanks!
Hmmm... note~ is a little bit outdated. Try Bach package.
...or MaxScore. We are planning a release soon that no longer requires a license for Max users. MaxScore can export to popular notation programs and can create PDFs from within its Editor.
Stay put.
