Apple Yosemite
Yeah this topic is probably wayyyyyy too early to even consider but what the hey?
I used my developer license to upgrade my Mac to Yosemite and viola found the first major issue with Max. Patches will not save. Nothing happens at all when I try to save a patch, project or build a collective. Nada, boom, dead!
Yosemite is pre-beta and a few other apps like Final Cut X and iMovie quit working as well but I found work arounds. It is also possible that as the system becomes more stable in the next few months this issue will remedy itself.
Just wondering if any other folks may have any info regarding this situation?
bump... beta 2... nothing...
I have both iOS dev & Mac OS dev , Swift Ok not too much..
But OS X App with storyboard ??? i thinks it's too much changes in development (for follows Modern Apple Style)
Who's needs new toolbar, transparency source list, and try to force us to re-design graphic content to feels like iOS.
Looks like you can save patches, although sfrecord~ doesn't seem to work (dev preview 6, max 6.1.8)
Console spits out the following message whenever you send an "open" message to it:
Max[6860]: Failed to remove the draft status extended attribute at: (null). No such file or directory
Anybody tested Max 6 on Yosemite yet?
I will very soon! over 2GB downloaded so far, guess it will take easily another 40-50 minutes before ready to launch Max 6.
All is working well! Both Max 6.1.9 and Mira 1.1.7
On my computer (MacBook Pro 17-inch) Max 6.1.9 works fine with Yosemite. No OS-related issues detected (yet) ;-).
hesitating but considering what I read here, I'm enthusiastic.
You guys having a problem loading the ad_rewire driver on Yosemite? I am able to change the driver from Core to ad_rewire, but no defaults for Input/Output etc. are loaded, and after closing and re-opening the Audio Status dialog box, the selected driver is now reported to be "None."
Tested Max 6.1.9 with Yosemite on 2013 MacBook Pro. All good (even played nicely with Avid Mbox2 Pro which is officially unsupported on Yosemite at the time of writing) . . . apart from one issue: Rewire. Rewire patcher (using require object of course) that works just fine with Reason in Mavericks, is unhappy in Yosemite - no audio, no transport control. I hope that both Max 6 will be updated to solve this one.
