Applications created with Max on the Apple App Store?
It's been a while since I've looked into this (last March) but is there any recent new news or information about how to get our developed apps on Apple's App Store?
I wonder if things have changed in version 7 to make this more likely to be possible.
Thanks very much!

It's not currently possible, but I think the Cycling crew is working on it.... Perhaps one of them will comment?
Newbie here, never attempted to do that. But I thought this was already done?
Or maybe there are difficulties with using Max 7?
i too thought this has been done. is it no longer possible?
From what I can tell, at one point it was possible and there were at least a few apps created in Max actually available on the Apple App Store.
Then Apple changed their requirements and Max apps were no longer permitted. I've been told on this forum that it's up to Cycling '74 to come up with a fix but I have no idea how big of a task that might be. I wish I had looked into this deeper before paying $99 to become an Apple Developer this year.
Yes, it *used* to be possible, but not with the current version of Max 7. There is a long thread here that outlines the current problem (Apple has continually changed the rules for getting onto the App Store, thus the ongoing challenges):
And yes, there have been many Max apps prior to this trouble that have gotten on the Mac App Store:
I have been in close contact with the Cycling developers, and I remain confident that they have not given up, and that they will soon have this problem solved!
Just to chime in, what Dan said. We're taking this seriously and should be able to provide some relief for this problem *soon*.
I wonder if there's any relief in 7.0.6. The readme (http://cycling74.s3.amazonaws.com/support/version_7_0_6.html) says "Standalone: more trimming of app size" but this would probably not solve it..
Relief is here with 7.0.6!
I'm happy to help with any tips - we ARE back in business! Thanks Jeremy!
That is wonderful! Thank you so much! I've became an Apple developer last February and so I haven't been looking into this in a while. Is there a general guide somewhere to how to take a Max Standalone and turn it into something for the App store?
I created a guide together with Oli Larkin and James Howard Young several years ago, which will help as a starting point.
However, there have been many changes to the Apple requirements since then, and unfortunately the guide is not yet updated (I did start on a draft with several other people from the forum, but it's not done yet). In the meantime, this thread is the best place where the collective knowledge is aggregated:
If I am not wrong haven't Cycling74 team already released an iOS app version in Tutu Helper app store? There was so much hype about it don't know if its from original developers or not.
