Hi,
I made several Pacht with Max MSP that running on my computer.
I have installed thise Pacht on several other computers with different Windows versions (XP, Vista and 7).
I have problems with some Vista and Windows 7, only a few cases where I did not hear the audio.
What I can see in the slider of the mixer at the bottom right of the toolbar of windows is this: if I click inside the mixer in the case where I did not hear the audio there isn't the icon of Max in the other cases yes.
Some clarification/suggestions?
Thank you.

Sounds like a driver issue. Perhaps the OS on one of these other
machines is using the audio driver already.

When doing audio on windows:
1. Always turn off system sounds.
2. Install ASIO4ALL and use it
3. Set processor scheduling to background services

Thanks Anthony for your kind reply.

How can I set the ASIO4ALL for Max?
How can I set processor scheduling to background services?

Thank you very much again.
John.

You can select your audio driver in Max by selecting DSP settings.
Then select ASIO4ALL from the menu.

Processor scheduling is found under performance settings in the
control panel.

Hi Anthony,

I need to set the dsp not from my computer with max in edit mode but in other computers that the users run max in exe mode. In the exe mode it is possible to set the dsp from Max?

In the second part of your kind reply, do you mean the control pannel of windows? If yes, I have alredy tried this possibilities with no result.

Sorry for my begginer question I'm new of max.
Thank you very much again Anthony.

John.

To select the audio driver in a standalone Max application, you will need
to add umenu that links to a adstatus input and output.
