However, driving a biqaud set to low pass with a medium-ish Q with an 

envelope follower (or LFO) is all that's needed to make something 

passable. Should only be an evening's work.

I suggest some combination of average~ (or similar, YMMV), filtercoeffs~ 

(or filtergrap~) and biquad~ (or cascade~).
