Automating Parameters

Short of an official Ableton firmware update that allows tracks to send and receive midi CCs, is there a way to automate parameters for RNBO or Schwung devices or for either of these categories to record parameter changes or parameter lock steps using either Move's native sequencer or an external one? It seesm like still no, but there are so many projects going on with alternative firmwares that it's hard to keep up with all the developments.
