After some succeful exports of a RNBO patch to a Raspberry Pi I now get this message during export:

Back in the target list under "Devices" where previously I could select the Raspberry Pi as a target device there is now "No devices connected". But the Rapsberry Pi is connected via cat6 cable to my PC and is still accessible via SSH.

It seems like, this behaviour started after I was adjusting the buffersize of the PiSound from 256 samples down to 32 samples. When I tryied to export with 32 samples I got this error:

After that I tried setting it back to 256 samples but always get the first mentioned message

In the web export, what are some good ways to make audio output as instant as possible when reacting to user input? I notice with small patches it feels pretty instant, and as the polyphony turns up the latency starts to increase.

1- could it be faster to have multiple smaller RNBO devices running? Do they run on different threads by default if they are loaded in using @rnbo/js?

2- when it comes to setting parameters, is there a way where the current system time is explicitly defined as the time to do a command? (The equivalent in Tone.js is Time.now, defining it as the time to do the command improves latency greatly)

3- what are some general tricks for keeping web RNBO things snappy? Wondering if there are tricks that can be used for optimization?

also: is there an example somewhere of passing raw MIDI data straight from a controller to a RNBO patcher using JS?

i have an issue with raspberry Pi and RNBO patches. using objects like random, or list.scramble everything works just as expected on max. when patch is compiled and sent to a raspberry... random is ALWAYS the same number and sequence on reboot. 

so, if you loadbang a random object on a max rnbo patch the number is always different... on a raspberry the number is always the same.

I'm not sure this is possible but can you record 30 seconds of audio into a previously setup audio buffer and then save it as a specific filename for use later? A simple use case would be to take out the raspberry pi connected to a pisound or another interface along with a microphone and record little bursts of audio that you can manipulate in real time and then save either the processed results or the dry original buffer for use later on.

I have an early days patch where I'm recording in sounds and then manipulating them with a granulator and placing the resulting sound into a kind of generative soundscape where these sounds come back in at varying intervals along side the real mic feed. This is fun to play with but at the moment I have no way of saving any of these buffers. The only solution I have come up with is to split the microphone signal and record a completely separate dry feed for use later on.

I'm definitely more on the beginner side.

I'm reading about adding presets (with snapshots) and then working with them in the exported C++ code (e.g. see:

I understand that the presets I define in the patcher will be exported into a file and be available to my C++ program, so I can show those presets to the user, load them etc. 

But what if the user wants to create and save a new preset?

I converted the RNBO patch into a Unity plugin by tracing it to the following documentation.

The plug-ins were successfully converted to sound in the Unity Editor.

On the other hand, when the created application was built in HTML5, no sound was produced and the following error appeared in the console.

I am looking to sync pioneer cdj's with a raspberry pi running my rnbo patch without the need of my laptop.  Mainly because traveling with a laptop at 4am around Lima, Peru is asking for it to be stolen, a pi with a small midi device fits in my pockets.
