Bargraf, ambimonitor problems.

Hi all, I am having problems porting some of my patches to new xp machines. (from my old computer)

The objects I am having problems with (so far) are bargraf~ with the error XQT setport failed and more serious ambimonitor with: "error 14001 loading external ambimonitor" when using version 1.2 or no errors but completely screwed up graphics, (things disapearing of screen the file menu disapearing and so on rendering max useless), when using version 1.1.

I am suprised that this has not been mentioned before because I have had this behaviour on two different machines.

Any advice on offer will be greatly apreciated.

this is a known problem. (As stated in the readme file, the object ambimonitor crashes under windows with certain specifications)

I tested this external myself on several PCs and it worked fine. However I have received a couple of emails reporting crashes under XP. I assume, the graphical settings or video card might be the source of this problem. I haven't had the time yet to investigate though.

I hope that in a future release of our externals (with rewritten graphical routines for Max 5) this problem may disappear.
