beat detection with beat~
Hey guys,
I am trying to use the beat~ object to detect a bet of some loops. What happens is that after some seconds the max crashs.
Do you have any idea about how to solve that?
if you have some other way to detect a beat I would appreciate.
What I need to do is to synchronize 3 different loops.
Thanks
R.

What platform are you running, version of beat~, and version of Max? I might be able to help with the crashes. However, beat~ itself is kind of lame. Check out this abstraction:

Thank you,
- I am using a macbook pro running MAC OS x 10.5.3

- I am using Max 5.0.5
Thanks again

Thanks for the new link.
But now the object is not working at all...
when i write it there is no input or output node...
What could it be?
Did you delete the old beat~.mxo? You can't have two of them in your search path at any one time, so move the old one far away. Also (if that doesn't do it) check compatibility with the newer beat~ and whatever version of Max you're using (if you're on 4.6).
Mzed, is that - http://www.maxobjects.com/?v=objects&id_objet=3798&requested=tempo&operateur=AND&id_plateforme=0&id_format=0 - your database? I d/l'ed buffercopy but there is only a max help patch..?
(just re posting to enable notifications)
Not my database. It does give me a link where I can download this:
There is an abstraction and a help-style patch in that archive.
