When I'm doing visuals every time I hit esc to go to full screen I get a black screen (instead of seeing my patcher) on the screen that's not monitoring the visuals.

I have two monitors (one a projector and the other the laptop screen) for doing a live performance setup with audio/visuals. I've tested this on two different projectors and have the same issue. 

Anybody have a solution to this that's run into the same issue?

To be really safe when sending video from max to one of external destinations,

match it's size and send borderless video to it without "fullscreen" messages.

Tame you OS multiscreen setup to hide menu, dock, taskbar  etc

you need to enable "displays have separate spaces" in your macos system preferences (Desktop & Dock -> Mission Control)
