bpatcher with a preset height and width

I like using bpatchers, but it's tedious resizing them every time I put one on a page.

My usual workflow is:

  • new object

  • type out the name of my abstraction (this brings up autocomplete)

  • rather than pressing enter, prepend the object name with 'bpatcher @name ', and then hit enter

  • resize bpatcher boundaries to fit the contents

  • maybe add a border

Is there any way to have all of this pre-set for me?

Hmm, I just saved all this as a prototype of bpatcher... but I fear this is going to get messy if every one of my abstraction prototypes is listed under bpatcher.

There is a little piece of javascript that you can put in a bpatcher that will automagically resize them to the viewable content.
A quick search for "bpatcher auto-resize" in the forum yield me this first result : https://cycling74.com/forums/quick-question-about-bpatchers
... but search, there is more.

ahh... so that's what that clippings folder is for!

Just searched for 'clippings' in the Max help.

And you can put them in subfolders... I like it :)

Thanks for that woyteg.
