bug : graphic problems and Max crashing when editing bpatchers

Hello,

I don't have any clues how to reproduce this, but i'm working on
bpatchers since yesterday and after a while, at some point, for no
obvious reasons, the bpatcher window takes all my screen display,
Windows becomes unusable and i have to quit Max thru the Task Manager...
It happends three times in the last 12 hours.

I know it's not much infos, but i can't nail down the glitch. It seems
to be related to display because it always happens when i move/resize an
ui object (panel, umenu, textbutton) in the bpatcher and it freezes all
my computer display.

Max 5.0.5 / Windows XP SP2 / DualCore T7400 @ 2.16 / 2.0 GB RAM / NVIDIA
GeForce Go 7800 GTX

Best regards

f.e

It happens to me, too, exactly the way you describe it. I can't reproduce it reliably, though. It requires quitting Max via the Task Manager.

I am usually running the latest version of REAPER when the bizarre incident occurs.

f.e., are you usually running a DAW at the same time?

Here are my system's specs:
Windows XP Pro SP3
Max 5.0.5
ATI Radeon 9250
2 GB RAM
P4 3.2 GHz
RME Fireface 800 w/ 2.94 drivers

This only started happening recently, and only since v. 5.0.5.

If you have any ideas how to reproduce this problem that would be great. Please pay attention to whether audio is running or not or what else you have been doing that might trigger the behavior.

I have yet to see this so the more details you can provide the better...

Thanks,
Rob

Hi,

Audio is ON and Overdrive is ON, in my case.

Now that I know it's not just me, I will definitely pay more attention the next time it happens.

I feel like it happens when I'm clicking on a umenu, but I'll be back with further info. when I get it.
