calculate cpu usage of one patch?

Hello!

While [adstatus cpu] reports the global cpu utilization, does anyone know if it is possible to calculate the amount of cpu resources a single patch is using? I want to use this to measure the efficiency of [patch a] vs [patch b]

depends if you need both at the same time? Open A, check Task Manager / Activity Monitor, Open B and see what's gwaanin.

Thanks for your reply Mike, I'll keep that in mind. However, I do indeed need to know their usage at the same time, as I want to include it in a real-time analysis of each patcher. I'm going to now see if there's some object to use to scrape data from the activity monitor, if so I'll post it here. (If you already know of a way to do this, let me know)

There was a program called Shark on mac that allowed you to see the names of objects that were taking up cpu. Which version of Max do you use?

I am using 6.1.7

I have heard of Shark. Will it be possible to stream data from Shark into Max?

On another note, I just found out about the [shell] object, but I am very much a beginner as per shell scripts... I'm willing to learn, but some guidance with this would be appreciated :)
