Can replace Kinect's IR wavelength?

Hello.

I would like to use Kinect with 950nm (Invisible) IR wavelength.
Is it possible to switch Infrared illuminator from Kinect to separate IR illuminator?

I want to add some better detection on depth visual with an additional ir illuminator if can be applied.

i doubt much, the kincet optics and light engine are highly interlinked.
but this is not the place, try the openKinect newsgroup for indepth
