Can/cannot import same amxd file in Max 7 depending on file location

    Hi, Upgraded to 7 today, mainly with the intention of using the Dub Machines M4L devices in my patches, outside of Live/M4L. I can't seem to be able to include them in a patch though. I can open and edit 'm in Max7 but I can 't drag 'm into a patch to use as is, as subpatchers.
    I wondered if this is the same for all amxd's and found out that importing Pluggo devices (say bassline.amxd) stored in Ableton's packages folder don't work while the same device in Max's packages folder does work.
    Is there a logic to that?

      I didn't test this exhaustively but it seems I can only include amxd files in my patches if they re located inside the Max 7 folder. I'm putting m in "\Program Files (x86)\Cycling '74\Max 7\resources\packages\Max for Live" now.
      This is on Win 8.1 and Max 7.0.1 32bit.

      Weirdness, now that path stopped working too and I had to move files one level down:
      C:\Program Files (x86)\Cycling '74\Max 7\resources\packages\Max for Live\patchers
