can't find object inspector in max 7
Hey everyone,
I'm on a mac running OSX 10.8.5. I have max 7.0.5.
When I want to look at the object inspector I can't find it. If I select an object and hit "command i" a little border on the right of the patcher box appears. I try to drag it open and the box just gets bigger. The same thing happens if I hover the mouse over the left side of an object and try and pull the inspector up from there.
I think when I got max 7 I tried to customize it and now I can't see the inspector. Ideally I would want the inspector to be a box that is not on the side bar but exists on it's own. But if the only way I can see it is on the side than that's better than nothing.
Can anyone help me out
thanks,
Nick
Rather than drag the corner of the box to the right, drag the grey bar (which is the edge of the inspector) to the left.

Thanks Mattyo, I can now see the inspector. I didn't think to drag to the left.
Is there any way I can get the inspector to appear as a free standing box and not as a side bar in Max 7? Just thought I'd ask since that's how I have it in Max 6 and is sort of my preference.
Also, is there a way to get number boxes to have a darker border? The default I have doesn't seem to have any border at all I couldn't seem to see how to give it an outline color or border.
thank you for your help.
Nick
Sidebar inspector is Cmd-I.
Freestanding insector is shift-Cmd-I.
(same deal for the max console, btw -- Shift-Cmd-M.
Do you mean number boxes in your patch? In Max 7, they no longer have a border as such, I'm afraid. You could put a lot of tiny panels behind each one....

OK thanks for the help. I can live without the number box borders. Overall max 7 is pretty awesome.
