can't get patch to work

I'm very new to max.

I bought the app c74 to make a connection with the iphone. The instruction is for max 5 but the creator told me that a friend of his was able to get it to work under max 6.

I think the difference is that the help file goes now to a different folder.
I placed the help file in the folder max-help.

But how can i get the patch in my patcher document? If i use it in the filter from 'explorer' then i can't find it. If i drag drop from explorer nothing happens. I also tried to add it with File->Instal...
If i double click it i go to max but i see nothing.
