when I copy to clipboard it just opens a blank patch, im not sure if I am doing it right or not

it looks incomplete(brackets from up top don't even complete at the bottom/end)... maybe you could try grabbing it again from wherever you got it since it could be corrupted in the copy?

if the patch is able to be output from max again, the person could try 'copy compress' from the edit menu then paste to you.

but as for regular uncompressed patch code, here's a simpler example with just a cycle~ object connected to ezdac~ in case it helps to compare, notice how it finishes off the list of things at the end with brackets, etc...:
