change dial sensitivity

Hi, is there a way to change the sensitivity of a dial object? When the range is increased (so it have more resolution) the sensitivity change and becomes very slow. I know live.dial do a better job for this but his size can't relly be change (or maybe i'm missing something). Maybe jsui is more appropriate for this but I not familiar with java script.
