change the mouse cursor icon in max

hey, i'm looking for a way to do it. in java it seems to be only possible in frames created by java not globally.
with max objects its nearly possible, one little thing keeps my solution from working. the pic or sprite on a [lcd] blocks the clicks even if the [lcd]is set to "ignore clicks". (idea was to use a transparent lcd with the alternative cursor icon following the mouse position, normal cursor hidden)
i like it to have other cursors like in the waveform~ object.
someone ever came up with a working solution?

What I did is put an fpic object containing the cursor image at the mouse position through scripting. That worked well. Can't find the patch now though.

it works with a fpic inside a patcher, thats nice. what not works is to click through this fpic and then through a transparent patcher background. but anyway thanks
