changing Max default 1-15 color palette within a patch?
I created a massive patch and modified many of the 15 default colors in the Max color palette. Unfortunately, when the patch is opened on another system, none of the modified colors I used show up - they are all still the default ones.
Is it possible to include something in my patch that will modify the default colors in Max's color palette? I need to turn in a big project soon, and I would hate to have to go back through it to recolor all of the comments to make them more visible. If there is an easy way to set the default 1-15 colors when a patch is opened, I'd sure like to know how to do it.
Thank you!
Mike
Nevermind. I did a bit more digging and figured it out. I'm just using the following objects to do it.
really simple - just the way I like it. :)
So far I just added 2 of my custom colors, but the rest will be a much quicker fix than going back and changing everything in the patch.
I hope someone else finds this helpful.

Yeah, there is a message to Max to set the colors.
Here is a sketch that does that. It's way messier than most things I
post here, but hey, it's a just a sketch.

Chris,
Nice work! For some reason, though, when I try using the numboxes to edit the color instead of the swatch, only the numbox for the red color value moves the selector around in the swatch. Any idea why the G & B numboxes don't move the selector to adjust the color? Was it not set up for this?
Thanks,
Mike

The fact that the R number box does anything to edit the color is just
a quirk. It was only intended to be edited with the swatch.
This was a study for a project I did several years ago, and is none
too complete.
