Chaotic Pendulum, How?
Hi
New to max, never programmed, just got MaxforLive & useless at maths.
I'd like to implement a chaotic pendulum as seen in this link.

However i cant find max/jitter objects that are suitable.
Idealy I'd like to input midi note & velocity to set the starting point & have the x/y position of the middle & end points generate cc data.
Looking over the page linked above it seems all the math needed is there on that page but to me it is just confusing.
Does anybody have any examples or advice or even point me to a external that would allow me to set up a pendulum system.
Thanks
not exactly what you are looking for but maybe a starting point....
this is from the jitter recipes (can't remember which book though). It's a patch called "verlets" by Andrew B ....
I was investigating this as well not too long ago. Graham Wakefield
posted an excellent harmonograph simulation. Although it is not
quite what you are looking for, it should give you some
good ideas as to how you would implement a double pendulum. Keep us
posted on your progress.

OK...love the harmonograph simulation...recently was looking through a book on them. My question - as a complete novice at Jitter (though an old-hand at Max/MSP - is how to get some MSP signals out of the Jitter patch to sonify the graphs? Any starting points would be appreciated.
Thanks
oh gosh that is beautiful. I have that wooden books harmonograph book and love looking at those visualization.
