i want to retain the ability to mix different order chebychev functions T1 - T5

i understand that printing the functions into a buffer would be way cheaper than calculating the polynomials each time? i want to try printing 5 buffers for each polynomial (T1- T5) and mixing those results

how do i do this, and still look it up with a sine wave, and retain the behaviour that it currently has, every time i try it it is not right at all

secondly, if i just put one chevychev on the stereo mixdown later on, could this display the same behaviour? i.e. if some of the sinepartials in the stereo mix were quieter than others would they not be waveshaped? even if a louder partial was being waveshaped at that point in time? or would it behave like a compressor and just squish everything whenever the threshold is passed.
