"can't fragload" usually means that you are trying to load an object that is from a different version of Max than you are running. Which makes sense, because SDIF-menu is not supported in OSX. There is a Javascript version, SDIF-menu2, that replaced it.
What do you mean by "when I load the CNMAT SDIF-buffer"? Opening up SDIF-buffer.help, for instance, does not do anything with SDIF-menu.

Sorry, a lot of my email was strangely deleted. This is the right
bundle for my OSX that I got from the cnmat page. Why did I get
something that is supported? ... just didn't take it out?
To the point... I'm not concerned about SDIF-menu; I want SDIF-buffer
to work. When SDIF-buffer is loaded, I get "error: can't fragload
SDIF-buffer (missing ), err
-2804." This is what I would like to resolve.
Thanks for responding,
Keith

OK, I got confused by your previous mention of SDIF-menu.
You want to download the "Everything for Mac OSX (Universal Binary)" bundle. That should work with Max 4.6.x
If you enable CFM support, either bundle should work. I just downloaded a fresh copy from the website, and checked that it's working on my PPC.
If you're still having problems, scour your search path for old versions of these objects. Let me know if this gets resolved, or not.
best,
mz

YES!! Thank you!!! I thought I had rid my computer of old max stuff,
but apparently there was an SDIF-buffer hidden in the search path. It
was by itself; none of the other objects were there. I'll know to
REALLY look before emailing the list.
CFM support didn't resolve it; shouldn't it have?
Thanks again for your help,
Keith
