Compare EQ of two sound sources and adjust one to match the other
Hello,
I am working with two different type of material: double basses recorded in a live setup with a pickup, and double basses recorded with a static mic in a studio setup.
I want to modify the EQ of the second source (studio sounds) so they kind of sound like the first one (live sounds).
So far I am using my ears to do that but I was wondering if there a more objective (and maybe automatic) way to do that.
Any ideas are very welcome,.
Thanks
this is what we do (amongst many other things) in the hisstools convolution toolbox. Check the paper and the code here:
Soon there will be a thorough tutorial, but for now use the irreference~ object for real time, or a deconvolution for two buffers.
good luck

Thanks a lot, I am going to check it out
congrats for your amazing job and thanks for sharing it!!
our pleasure. We're making video tutorials and a latency free convo plugin (up to 8x8 - vst and au) at the moment we'll share even more ;0)
