Contacting gpt3.5 turbo api from within Max

I'm trying to develop a synth that can integrate with gpt3.5 turbo from openai, using the js object to send a request to the api with node. I have all of the foundations in place to interpret the message once it is received, but am battling to send the request properly as I don't have a lot of experience with node. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Hey I know you posted a while ago... did you get anywhere with this? Past few days I've been using a free chatgpt account to assist me with some max & js stuff, and I came to the realisation that really I should first integrate the api with js/node to create a more interactive environment.

That said, I could probably get chatgpt to integrate it for me, just investigating while on my phone away from PC today.

Currently the free chatgpt account gives a limited free daily amount of 4o tokens to use, and I've found that while 4o is capable enough to not get confused/create disingenuous code (a few minor debugs and repairs with 4o), when I run out of 4o credits, the v4 gpt is incredibly unreliable and often breaks huge segments. So perhaps you gave up with 3.5 turbo.
