Control Dynamics With Max4Live?
Hi all!
I enjoy writing chamber music from within Ableton (that I then transfer to Dorico to finish, of course), since I can then use all the interesting algorithmic tools and sequencers inside Ableton and Max 4 Live to write music for acoustic instruments.
I created some random dynamic movements, and mapped them with Map8 to 8 different instruments, to cc1 for dynamics within Kontakt and UVI Workstation. However, this can't always be done, since dynamics is not mappable in all instruments. Therefore, when I enter Configure Mode and drag the dynamics slider, it doesn't add the parameter to the panel.
Is there a way to use a Max4Live device to get around this? It would have to work something like this:
Max4Live LFO modulator -> new Max4Live device (0-127) -> sends cc1 numbers to the instruments, like if the mod wheel on the keyboard was being moved.
