Has anyone controlled a still camera, or caused a usb webcam to take a picture? I don't want to grab a frame from a video because I need the higher resolution that many webcams are only capable of when taking still pictures. Also the camera will be capturing the image of a moving person. I am looking for inexpensive suggestions for digital cameras that could be set up be controlled through max or by keystrokes, suggestions for webcams that have mac drivers which could be set up to take a still images, third party software for controlling uvc webcams or for controlling any one specific webcam that I might buy, or other suggestions for obtaining high resolution, minimally blurry, still images.
