Converting waveform to image and downloading png

KPL's icon

Hey,

Is there a way to do the following:

1. Import audio file

2. Generate waveform image of that audio file

3. Pick dimensions of waveform image. Example: 11 " x 4 "

4. Export waveform image to a png?

Yes, capture screen part using jitter.
Just use pixels and not inches

Thank you for the reply! I'm not getting the image exported unfortunately; it's just a blank transparent. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I am using max 6.1.10 and 7.3.4 ( qt as video engine), osx 10.6.8 - it is capturing the screen as expected.
What You see in the waveform should be in the png.
I don't know if it has something with video engine or whatever.
You could play a bit with screen capture to see what's wrong

Hmm. Okay, thanks man, I'll dig deeper.

It could be that delay of 1000 ms after buffer replace is done is too short, which could cause
screenshot to capture waveform before it displayed audio file loaded into buffer.
Here is the patch where You can take a screenshot manually,
just to check if that is the cause of "blank" png.
Actually png should not be blank, but look as empty waveform.
And don't forget to first save the patcher, than reload it
so that loadbangs become effective.
