Convolution reverb?
Hi,
Any thoughts or examples of a possible convolution reverb?
I have built FFT based convolution patches, but can't understand the steps or theory for further implementation with regards to reverb using impulse responses e.g. delays of the input signal based on impulse response.
Any thoughts or advice are much appreciated,
Cheers.
Hi Dom,
A very interesting idea there. It sounds like the sort of thing that would be easier to impliment using jitter elements. This would allow you to use sonograph data of both an input and and impulse response and convolve the two together. I'm araid I don't know of any examples of this out there - I would imagine its the sort of thing which is quite marketable so they may be pretty rare.
Good luck
Chris
look for Tconvolution~ ... not sure it's what you want but take a look anyway

I nearly finished building one but using native msp objects but I never got it completely working. Half of it's lying around the forums if you're interested.
Cheers for thoughts,
Ill check out crx091081gb's ealier post and examine the patch,
thanks again.
ez Dom .... that reverb can be very nice ... though i've built a nice lil comb & then a teeth filter plugin that seems pretty promising. tho... i am still using version 4.55, i've heard a rumor that v5 is no longer in support of certain aspects. procrastination is the fail, i know. however 4.55 works & thats what matters ATM.
