convolution reverb
I'm currently trying to build a convolution reverb using max/MSP for my undergraduate dissertation. It is important that I don't use any externals for this. I'm having difficulty achieving a reverberation effect at all. Below is the patch and pfft~ patch as well. If anybody has any idea where I'm going wrong I would be very greatfulk!

Pfft~ Patch
It'll be difficult to make a Max patch if you don't use any externals. I presume you're referring to third-party work.
If I were you, I'd have a serious look at the Forum postings on the subject. Just do a search on "convolution" or "convolution reverb." Much of the concensus is that it's either impossible or vastly unsatisfying, which is the reason that the work currently being done is done by means OTHER than vanilla objects. At the very least, I expect you'll find good advice contained within the discussions.
Yes I've had a look and the general outlook does seem to be rather bleak. I suspect I'll have to experiment with externals, crediting the authors in my paper!
Thanks
If you're going to use externals, I highly recommend HISStools:

I've ended up using tconvolution~ pretty successfully. Thanks for the help!

@lstonehouse, is there any chance I can get a copy of your dissertation to read? Doing a research project on convolution reverbs and would be interested to see what you came up with.
