copy gui objects while maintaining relative presentation position
Is there a way to copy gui-objects in the edit-patcher-mode while maintaining there relative position in the presentation-mode? So it is not necessary to rearrange them all in the presentation-window, but only group-move them to their new position.
because we dont have groups (yet), did you try using bpatchers?
Sorry for the misunderstanding. By group-move I mean selecting them all and move them together (as a group) to their new position.
Maybe I'm not understanding your question, but can you not just select them and move them while still in presentation mode?
Sorry, again not clear enough from my side. The aim is to copy a part of the patch including the hui-items, so all the hidden functionality including the interface objects. You have to do that in de patch-window, otherwise you cannot select the patchers, patch cords, aso. When you copy that and switch to presentation the hui-objects are completely fucked up, have lost their original order and you have to rearrange them all.
Is this more understandable?
Peter
that issue is unavoidable when you copy objects which are already included in presentation (and arranged there).
if you need to do this often, you could ignore the presention mode and place your objects where they belong right in the patcher window. then you can copy a group of gui objects and they will go where they should.
Yes!!! Bpatchers. Of cause!!!!!
(For me until now a hidden power. But there it is! Thanks for revealing them!)
