I've been working on a fairly large msp project but now after a varying amount of time of using it, max crashes with no warning. Does max generate a crash log or something similar? 

Also any general debugging tips would be most welcome - finding the problem is looking like a huge job at the moment...

You would be more likely to get a helpful answer if you would state what platform you are on. The Windows answer won't do you much good if you're on Mac OS and vice versa.

BTW, have you tried to Google the list archive?

Oh yes, sorry, i'm on Vista. I should have searched the archives first, but I have to admit i've only just noticed them! I always wondered why when I searched the forums very few results appear. 

Ok, after searching the archives i've answered my own question - the crash log on Vista simply isn't useful! Oh well, I guess i'll just have to mess with my patch until I find the problem. What makes it so annoying though is that Vista won't release Max after it's crashed so I have to restart each time...
