creating aiff files for Info~ loop points

Hi,

I want to create aiff files with loop points and root note information that info~ understands.

Is there a free program that can do this or can i do this with ableton or max?

I can't find anything about this in the help file or reference.

I've done this with Audio Finder. It's not free, but may be worth the $$ for you. http://www.icedaudio.com/site/

On windows there is a free program called viena which can do this, although I havent used it in 20 years apparently its still around. However you may need something else to extract the wave from the soundfont, I dont know

Also on windows there is a program called audacity which I tried 8 years ago, which automated finding zero crossings for loop points at that time. It's not very intuitive to use, and I wish I could say paid software like awave is better, and again my version of awave is 20 years old, and maybe since then the developer has made it less confusing, but it does work.

The best paid program was soundforge, and it used to be available quite cheaply, but now even the light version is $60, and the studio version is...$400! but for audio editing it is probably the best.

Thanks for the responses.

I think that for my purposes all these programs do a bit to much.

I think i will just use a coll object with the information stored inside.
