this was a big issue with Mira; turning dials and sliders very jumping around//

next month macOS 27 public beta - adds touch when mirror display on iPad (I guess pre-empting upcoming touchscreen MacBooks)

yes there are some 'belt and suspender' techniques for addressing jumping 

I want to feel like a tight knob on a mixing board- but instead roll by finger
