Data to clipboard
Maybe I do not see it, but is there a way to copy data out of MAX directly into the MacOS clipboard, so that one could use the date by pasting it into another app?

Hi Source Audio, many thanks, unfortunately the shell object stays brown and does not even allow me to see the helpfile, there seems to be an object shell, because when I create a new object and type "shell" the list that opens shows a "shell"-object. Can you help? Im on MacOS 12.4 with Max 8.3.1

Sorry, but you have to paste max console output showing any errors.
Did you download shell external ?
I have no link at hand, but you can google shell maxmsp github to get latest release.
If you have any patch named shell. rename it.

at given paths and in addition wrong
architectute - means no M1 version.
delete both of them and download latest, that should do
Plewase apologize, but when I google as you say, I get hundreds of so.called repositories but not any download of a shell for maxmsp. I am not deep computer guy. I can use Max quite well, but I am not in the area where it is based. Can you give me a more direct advice to obtain this shell object? Thanks

You are welcome, it is actually not your fault when
package developers include other people's externals into own packages.
In your case it was that samplor package that caused troubles ...
Now on M1 machine, one should trash all uncompatible externals
and packages or at least try to update them
