data visualisation
Hi,
I am very new to Max / Gen. Actually a new user since just 10 minutes ago :-)
I have previously worked with OpenDX for scientific data visualisation (grids, meshes, glyph, etc). But I am now looking for something more contemporary... and I am willing to explore/learn Max / Gen and possibly combine visual and sounds.
Is there any tutorial about the following tasks:
-importing data in the software (ascii sets of: x,y,z data1, data2, data3, ...)
-creating grids from x,y,z and select the data to display and colour map them
-creating colour bars to show the range over a grid
-import a 3d mesh and use transparency / wireframe or even cut the model with an arbitrary plane
Any pointer much appreciated.
Thanks for your help in advance,
G
built-in tutorials are the answer.
yes, how to say, I figured much out...
I was hoping for more focused tutorials.
all I can find is very vaguely related but of course, with a little bit of work I should get there.
so far I have "almost" cracked point 1 above...
Thanks,
G
