device to record and loop Apc-40 grid button presses
So I opened up a dozen apc-40 patches and I read about working with apc-40 objects and I'm totally lost.
I've already built a functional midi looper device that can capture various bar lengths and play them back. Now I want to incorporate that into an apc-40 patch so I can record and playback grid presses and have them repeat.
I read some stuff over here http://synthfan.info/2012/09/18/the-apc40-and-max-for-live/ but honestly I think I'm in way over my head with this one. I'm pretty fresh.
thoughts? input? wanna make it for me and show me what you did? ;)
The apc-40 stuff does look pretty dense. You just need to find the output of the apc grid, and hook it up to your midi looper. You'll probably need to convert the numbers from the grid, so they are useful for the looper. Personally, I try not to get too caught up in a specific midi controller. You could just trigger the notes with your computer keyboard, and learn the apc later.
You don't say what you want the grid presses to do?
If it's just to record the automation then you'll need to build a pseudo apc40 in m4l observing the button and control live.buttons
Cheers
