Different M4L starting templates?
Is there a way to mark a device itself as a template, similar to how the Max Instrument/Max Audio Effect/Max Midi Effect devices work? I want to make new devices that don't use the dark gray color scheme in the patcher window and I want to be able to set up some better defaults for things like midi/mpe support.
max a Live preset save it under "User Library" "Defaults"

it works here, take a Max Device, make a Live Preset, Name the Preset "Max MIDI Effect.adv", put it in User Library>Default>MIDI Effects.
Clicking on "Max MIDI Effects">"Max MIDI Effect" adds my "Test Patch Device"
Yes, and if you edit that patch, it edits the "template" instead of creating a new instance
That's no good. Did someone have a solution to this?
