Disabling automatic opening of subpatches / patchers on startup

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this issue has been discussed before - I've been searching for a good while now and haven't come across it if so.

How do you disable the automatic opening of "subpatch" or patcher windows upon opening a Max 5 patch?

Any solution offered would be gratefully received.

Thanks!

[Annoying bump] - I know this might sound like a painfully obvious thing to have to point out, but I really am struggling to find an answer here. Hours of googling have returned nothing. I'd be highly, highly appreciative if one of you could help me.

Hi Zonaverdi,

Easiest way is to save the master patch without the subpatchers open. The state of which windows are open (and which are not) is saved when you save the patch. It also saves the location of the windows on your screen.

Does this answer your question?

It's a buggy-ish. Here's the process:

1. Open up the patch that auto-opens a subpatch.
2. Unlock the main patch.
3. Close subpatch
4. Make a change to the MAIN patch. Save it.

Now it will properly work.

In case anyone in future gets stuck on this and finds this through google like I did... I'm having the problem in max for live and for me the issue was I was using an invisible button and the mouse up trigger (into open > pcontrol > p mypatch). When the patch loads it saw the mouse was up already and triggered. By changing to mouse down output it's now fixed :)
