Hi-
A quick search on MaxObjects.com produced this:
http://www.nullmedium.de/dev/dmxusbpro/

also a DMX external here (3rd one down):
http://www.akustische-kunst.org/maxmsp/

seems to me I recall someone else working with DMX a while back, I
would suggest searching the MAXMSP archives to find out more-

hi, do you have the developer kit? afak, without one you need to use their
software.
i also have access to one and would love to try it. mybe we could ask them
for a max port.

If it is an FTI chip inside that unit, you could maybe use the open dmx object for the enttec unit as that is a very common serial to dmx chip used by many companies.

On the website for sunlight it says the developer kit comes with C++ examples of drivers. If you have to, you could use visual studio to compile an external for max. Check out the MaxSDK help file on creating your own externals. It walks you through the file structure and compiling process for a few different code compilers including visual studio.

good luck
