Does Anyone Know How The SPREAD Plugin Works...
...in Logic that is. It's a stereo spread/Imaging plug-in. I've become heavily accustomed to it, but I'm switching DAWs.
I'd like to find a similar plug-in for Nuendo, but don't think I will. I think my best bet is figuring out how it works and building it with Pluggo.

My best success was setting up two comb filters, one for left, one for right. One comb filter has its feedforward as +1 and the other has its feedforward as -1.
With some tweaking what results is a sinusoidal pan up the frequency range.
If you hear flanging, mess with the feedforward delay of both. Make sure feedback is zero.
Modulating your collective feedforward delay with an LFO will reduce the apparent flange effects even more.
I think this is what Waves uses in their widener and imager; watch out, some of that stuff is patented.
