is it possible to drag and drop something like a "file path" of a wave file out of a M4L device (!) into a clip slot in the ableton live session view ?

I mean the functionality of the "live looper" plugin. There you can record audio and then drag and drop it into a clip slot. Also you can drag and drop a file out of a file browser into a clip slot... something like that.

my drag me function with live looper used to work fine, now it appears with a "circle/line-thru" meaning its not able to drag and drop what's in the looper...what can i do to fix this? i use it all the time...until now! thanks
