Drum roll using Live.grid?

    Hello, I am trying to create a drum roll effect in my patch (M4L Drum Box). If I un derstand correctly, a drum roll is for BD and SD. the drum roll works as follows: - One BD at full velocity, followed by two to three smaller velocity (127 .. 30... 10) at regular steps.
    Heu.. am i wrong?
    Next, I am trying to create this effect in my patche.. I have many ideas but at the same time I am lost !
    Do you have any hint how to setup such function? Cheers!

      A drum roll is a repetition of a drum. There's no "formula". Do what you want to do, what sounds right, etc.
      You want to recreate it? Just program it in, right? its' a drum sequencer. Also, it may be the right time to try to specify what you want in your patch, instead of trying to implement all the features you come up with - this is called feature creep, and can make a good patch really bad...

      sorry for my late answer, I was out of internet for a week ;-)
      thanks a lot for your advice. In fact, I took my week off to think about what I really needed. I looked at the plugo tools where I found an echo midi plug in made with Max/MSP, I adapted it to my needs and integrated into my Drumbox M4L patch.
      for the moment, I am not going to publish this new version of my "plug in", I rather prefer to play with it to see if it really suit to my needs :-)
      I will keep you inform :-)
