DS patch

Hi Im a Max newcomer but have been working with PD for a while, I recently found the patch which allows you to use your DS as a wireless controller for PD/Max. My problem is I can't get my laptop to hook up to my DS as an access point. I have a feeling the problem is staring me right in the face. If anybody could tell me how to configure the settings properly? Forgive my ignorance on this but I always thought SSID and WEP keys were used for Routers as opposed to actual wifi enabled laptops. Thanks for any help

I couldn't get my DS to connect directly to my laptop either.

I think the standard approach is to make sure your DS can connect to the Internet through a wireless router. Do this by taking a wi-fi enabled game (like Mario Kart) and configuring your wi-fi settings through the game. Verify the settings are correct by playing Internet multiplayer.

Once that works, if your laptop is on the same network then the DS should be able to talk to it.

Hey, thanks for the replies. I am working off a PC but managed to get it connected by using a wifi adapter on my desktop and using that as an access point. I am now messing around with it in PD. I am having a small bit of difficulty actually getting audio files to play after pressing a key, although it is still recognising that a key has been pressed and what audio file is to be loaded by the key press. Thanks again for the replies
